Rocky Hill Affordable Dental Implants

Patients with complete tooth loss often complain that traditional dentures come loose easily or don’t let them eat the food they want. Dentures secured by implants are a transformative solution, rehabilitating their oral health. Ideally, a set of dentures is secured by four to eight implants. Dr. Michalski understands that’s not in every patient’s budget, but he offers two affordable dental implant options. He can secure dentures with only two implants or with mini implants.

Advantages of Implants

If you have complete dentures, implants are the best way to preserve your oral health for the rest of your life. Dentures secured by implants don’t move around in your mouth. They let you chew your food more thoroughly since they strengthen your bite. If you worry about your dentures coming loose in public, implants will give you back your confidence.

When you lose your teeth, your body will start to resorb bone from your jaw. That can change your face, giving it a collapsed look. Eventually, some patients won’t have enough jawbone left to comfortably wear any kind of denture, which can make treatment very challenging. Fortunately, implants replace your original teeth and signal to your body that you still need your jawbone.

Standard dentures put pressure on your gums. This pressure further encourages bone loss and can cause gum sores. Dentures supported by implants don’t have these problems.

Snap-On Dentures

Snap-on dentures are a good affordable treatment for patients with complete tooth loss. They are held in place by just two implants, and you can snap them in yourself and remove them for cleaning. snap-on dentures, which are affordable dental implants Two implants are enough to prevent the denture from floating in your mouth or coming loose while you chew. They aren’t quite as secure as a denture held in place by four implants and the back end may have some movement up and down, but they won’t come loose and will still allow you to eat whatever you want and talk normally.

Mini Implants

Dr. Michalski also offers mini implants, which are one-third of the width of a regular implant. Like any implant, they must be surgically inserted. However, mini implants are easier to place and have a shorter healing time mini implants, which are affordable dental implantsthan regular implants, which makes them much less expensive.

Mini implants are good for retaining a complete denture but not for supporting crowns and bridges. They aren’t as sturdy as traditional implants. However, in certain cases they can still anchor a denture effectively when placed correctly.

Quality Affordable Dental Implants

It’s important to have your implants placed by a dentist who has the training and experience to do it well. Dental implants can fail, especially when inserted by an inexperienced provider. A failed implant can be very difficult and expensive to fix. However, placed correctly, affordable dental implants can preserve your oral health and improve your confidence for a lifetime.

Dr. Michalski has advanced post-graduate training in implant care. He is a graduate of the Misch Resnik Implant Institute and holds the Diplomate credential with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He will carefully evaluate your health history to determine if you’re a good candidate for implants and then create a treatment plan that meets your needs.
